Kelly Fuels is the exclusive distributor for Dipetane treated heating fuel in Northern Ireland. The Dipetane enhanced product is sold under the brand name "Cleanburn". For some years now Kelly Fuels have been supplying thousands of Ulster homes with Cleanburn home heating oil.

Today, more and more people are switching to Cleanburn as they recognise its benefits. Developed in Northern Ireland, Cleanburn is a significant leap forward in fuel technology. Kellys take ordinary home heating oil and treat it with Dipetane, which releases the full energy potential of the fuel with obvious benefits to customers.

Energy Management, published by the Energy Efficiency Office of the Department of the Environment said in an article that tests carried out by the University of Ulster on Dipetane treated fuel are claimed to have shown:

• fuel consumption reduced by 13%
• an increase in the cut out temperature of 10°C
• combustion temperature reduced by 20°C
  

The University carried out subsequent tests using a thermal energy meter and it found evidence of an "enhanced energy release". It claims that when fuel was treated with Dipetane the percentage reduction in fuel to obtain 1 kW of energy was calculated to 10.45%. It also claims that more of the energy generated is converted into useful heat. Additionally heat transfer is said to be improved by keeping the inside of the boiler clean. Also "less of the heat goes up the flue".

Kelly's Cleanburn burns cleaner than ordinary home heating oil, thus boiler servicing is reduced to a minimum. Because it burns cleaner, Cleanburn is more economical than any other heating oil, up to 13% less fuel consumption.
